APA Refocuses 2014

The organisation changed its name in 2014 from AIDS PARTNERSHIP with AFRICA to A PARTNERSHIP with AFRICA – APA. This change is to reflect the wider embrace of our endeavours in recent years from our original focus on HIVA to now incorporate other interventions such as work on human rights and development education in Ireland.
With your support APA is continuing to work in partnership with the people on the fringes, with local authorities and communities to advocate for the rights and self determination of the marginalised in Ethiopia and Tanzania. We do this by

  • protecting the rights of women, girls and children
  • lessening the impact of Aids on the orphaned children
  • expanding access to food, water and education with remote rural communities’
  • enabling self development by some of the most marginalised communities in both countries.
