Water and Sanitation for Health (WASH)
APA believes in the rights of all people to have access to human rights and basic services.
Historically, APA has worked in partnership with local communities to construct water systems. Local leaders and community members are an active part of the process of identifying appropriate locations for water pumps in order to ensure easy access and security for those who gather water. Additionally, community members are involved in the construction process and learn how to use and maintain the systems so that their communities will continue to have sustainable access to clean water sources.
